Sundar Raman is one of India’s leading sports business professionals with over 20 years of experience across sports, advertising, sponsorship and media. Prior to joining Reliance Sports as its Chief Executive Officer, he worked with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and as Chief Operating Officer of the Indian Premier League, where he played an instrumental role in growing the sport to a multi billion dollar property from its inception in 2008 until 2015. He was also a key member of the International cricket Council (ICC) Integrity work group and was
involved in restructuring of ICC.
Since heading Reliance Sports, he’s been responsible for consolidating and integrating the group’s sports portfolio – including its Foundation activities – and drive new growth opportunities. One of his main undertakings involves redefining the ecosystem of Indian football with the objective of rolling out a club football system that is sustainable and can provide viable career options for aspiring Indian football players.
