Stuart Ramalingam
Stuart Michael Ramalingam, hails from Malaysia, has been pursuing his passion for football and sports from a very young age – firstly as a fan and youth football player before moving into the management side of football with FIFA, AFC and the Football Association of Malaysia.
In 2008, Stuart was appointed by FIFA as a Professionalization Consultant and focused on hands-on support and consultancy to FIFA’s member association. Stuart’s key focus and specialty areas were Organizational Review, Commercialization & Revenue Generation and League Revamps (Structure, Governance etc.).
In November 2010, Stuart was appointed as the CEO of the Malaysian Super League (MSL) and was responsible to revamp the whole then FA Malaysia (FAM) & M-League Commercial Structures.
After 2 successful years with MSL, Stuart joined the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in 2012 and held various positions at the confederation such as the Director of Club Competitions, Director of Marketing, Director of Social Responsibility and the Acting Director of Media & Communications.
After serving more than 13 years in the structures of football governing bodies, Stuart left to consult the world largest sports marketing agency, Dentsu Sports Asia and held the position as the Vice President before leaving in July 2018 to be appointed as the new Secretary-General of the FA of Malaysia (FAM) replacing Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin who was elected as the FAM’s president.
