Muhammad Yunus

Recipient of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize, Professor Muhammad Yunus is the founder the the first institution of microcredit, and the father of social business – two concepts that have now been replicated in most of the countries in the world.
Over the last 40 years, Prof Yunus has created a large network experts, now present in over 150 countries, solving social issues and improving the lives of millions of people through social business in all the major industries.
In 2016, he created the Yunus Sports Hub to put this network at the service of the sport sector and help governance bodies, right holders, event organizers, federation, clubs and other sport-related organization to create a meaningful changes in people’s lives.
For his diligent and extensive work in the sport for development field he received the Olympic Laurel at the Opening Ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Aside from the Nobel Peace Prize and the Olympoic Laurel, Prof Yunus is the recipient of several prestigious recognitions, including the Congressional Medal of Honor & the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Only six individuals in history have received all three distinctions.
